5. Phonemes: Consonants, Vowels and Diphthongs
6. Project on Conversation.

  SEMESTER – II

1. Sentence construction (Asking for Information , Seeking Permission).
2. Phonetic transcription of words and sentences
3. Syllables and CVC pattern , Rules for word accents , 
4. Weak forms and strong forms , Accent patterns in connected speech
5.  Intonation: Rising tone, falling tone etc.
6. Project on Conversation.
